Do we need a reservation?
Yes, due to COVID-19 restrictions we require reservations.
What is the weather policy?
We run rain or shine.
What if I need to use the bathroom?
We make one official stop during the trip. Bathroom facilities consist of port-a-johns and access to hand sanitizer.
How does the trip work?
It’s easy. Just park at 608 Riverside Drive in front of the green building. After check-in there will be a short drive to the starting point (a face covering is required on the shuttle ride), where you will board the boat (a face covering is NOT required on the boat). Then you’ll float downriver to the takeout location. Lastly, we’ll shuttle you back to your vehicle.
How long is the trip?
Trips average three hours, depending on water level.
What is the youngest age allowed?
We allow 4 years and older.
What do I need to bring?
You should bring sunscreen, towels, your favorite beverages and snacks.
Where should we keep valuables?
We recommend keeping them in your locked vehicle. We’ll keep your car keys safe and secure while you’re on the river. We have secure lockers for your valuables if you use Shuttle Bunny, Lyft or Uber. Cellphones, cameras, etc., are allowed on the boat. However, we are not responsible or any lost items or items dropped in the river.
Will I get wet?
Your feet may get wet. The rest of you should stay dry.
Do I have to wear shoes?
Yes. You can wear flip-flops, Tevas, old shoes, Crocs or whatever you’re into. Just no bare feet.
Can we swim during the float?
No- however, you will have an opportunity to get out of the boat and wade around.
What can we bring to drink?
You may bring your favorite beverages; however, we ask that you; do not bring any glass containers with you on the river.
What if I have been drinking for a while before the float?
Visibly intoxicated patrons will not be allowed on the trip, and you will not receive a refund. We ask that you conduct yourself in an adult manner and respect the quality experience of those around you.
Do I have to be physically fit to do this float trip?
NO! However there are stairs at the put-in and at the bathroom break. We are working to make Rasta Turtle accessible to everyone with plans to design a boat that will accommodate two wheelchairs. Feel free to call us for more details.
Do you have to wear a life jacket?
Personal flotation devices (PFDs) are available and are highly recommended. Children under 13 years of age are required by law to wear a PFD at all times while on the boat.
What do I wear?
Shorts and a t-shirt are typical; however, but you can wear whatever makes you most comfortable. Keep in mind that you will have the opportunity to get in the water.
Due to COVID-19 the maximum number of guests is 8 . We do not offer group rates at this time.
What is included?
Your ticket includes a shuttle to and from the river, a seat on the boat, and use of a life jacket.
Do you need Transportation from your accommodation?

What if I Uber, Lyft or use Shuttle Bunny?
We have secure lockers for your valuables if you use Shuttle Bunny, Lyft or Uber.
